We've been reflecting on what it means to be exposed to a diverse range of thinking here at Curative. The value and importance of diversity in society is a topical concept, and we see it being discussed in a lot of channels and in various contexts lately – whether the context is gender, cultural, socio-economic, age and so on.
Mainly, we've been thinking about diversity in the sense of ways of thinking, or perspective. With a range of communities and organisations we work with, we've seen a glimpse of how a diverse range of perspectives expands us in ways that we can't even measure.
And yet, we hope that we don't get comfortable only listening to concepts, ideas and perspectives we've grown accustomed to, no matter how different and ground shaking they once seemed, when we first heard of them.
